Danubius Hotel Gellert Budapest

We had a great time at this lovely hotel. The location was perfect, right across the river from the Market Hall and just a short walk from the picturesque bridge. The staff were friendly and helpful, from the cleaners to the waiters. The room was nice and tidy, and we even got a 10% discount for the spa. The spa and wellness center were amazing, with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, and Turkish bath. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which had a variety of fruits, cheeses, sausages, and warm breakfast options. this place exceeded our expectations and we would definitely recommend it to our friends.

Our room had a breathtaking view of the river and the Liberty Bridge. We enjoyed the proximity to the Gellert Spa and the Cave Church. Great breakfast with assorted pastries, fruits, and different kinds of eggs. we had a delightful stay.

I stayed at the charming Hotel Gellert for my first trip to Budapest. The faded grandeur of the building and its location opposite the Liberty Bridge made it truly special. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, from the Business Centre to the Bistro. The breakfast was excellent and the view of the Danube was breathtaking. The highlight was the amazing Gellert Baths, with their different temperature pools and steam rooms. Truly luxurious!

Some areas could use better cleaning and maintenance, particularly the carpets. the bathroom and some furniture were not as comfortable as expected.

We loved the hotel's beautiful architecture and great spa facilities. Its ideal location allowed us to walk to many famous landmarks, such as a stunning church built inside a mountain and a hill with a playground for children. We also appreciated the quick access to this city's metro network from the hotel's nearby metro station. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Conveniently located near public transport and famous thermal baths. Hotel offers good value for money with friendly staff and traditional atmosphere. Breakfast buffet has a great selection of English and Continental choices. Room sizes are large and some offer fantastic views. Laundry services are excellent and reasonably priced.

I had the most delightful stay at a charming hotel located on the banks of the Danube. The setting was absolutely picturesque, with a small balcony in my room that made it feel like a dream. The breakfast, overlooking the river, was a highlight with its variety of options. Despite a few minor cons, such as a snooty staff member and dated interior design, I would highly recommend this hotel for its convenient location and unique ambiance. I'll definitely be returning to this old-world gem for another memorable experience.

The staff is friendly and helpful, from the female receptionist at the desk to the cleaners and waiters. The rooms are equipped with everything you need, including an in-room safe and free toiletries. The spa and wellness center is fantastic and includes an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, and Turkish bath. The free Wi-Fi and 24-hour reception are also a plus.

The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of popular attractions and had a metro station nearby. It was perfect for exploring the city. On weekends, the bridge on the river was closed to cars, making it even easier to get around.

The cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired. Carpets, wallpaper, and curtains were dirty, and one guest even found ants crawling over rotten food in their room.

The room I stayed in was quite small and outdated. the furniture was old and worn, and the bed was uncomfortable.

The location of the hotel is great, as it is nestled by the river, and close enough to all the major attractions. You can even walk to the main shopping street and the view from the front of the hotel is really wonderful. The rooms are quite large and the breakfast is delicious, providing all sorts of options to cater to every need. The spa is an amazing add-on, the thermal baths effect was excellent.

The room and bathroom facilities were quite dated which was a bit disappointing.
